Last time I talked about the games. This time I want to talk about the systems. What is the best system to buy? What are the pros and cons of each system? I will do my best to explain each system to the best of my ability.
First of all is the list of consoles. There is the older generation of PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. The Gamecube is the Nintendo console. This console was notorious for it's lack of good games, and that's why they are like 20 bucks at Game Stop now. Don't get me wrong, the Gamecube did have some interesting titles, like the debut of Resident Evil 4, one of the coolest games ever. But unfortunately, only a few good titles isn't enough for it to survive.
Next is the XBOX. The XBOX was one of those newcoming systems that appeared and took the place by storm. Its developer is Microsoft, and it was known for its abundance of pretty good sports games and M-rated titles. The only setback is that it didn't appeal to the Japanese gamers and it had nearly zero RPGs or RTSs or things like that.
Finally is the PS2. The Ps2 boasted some of the best graphics of the old gens. Its developer is Sony, so it had a plethora of Japanese titles and RPGs, as well as a good base of all the different game genres. The only setback I can think of is that with all those games, there will surely be a good amount of bad games, so discretion is needed when buying this console.
Most of these consoles are really cheap now that we are going into the next gen age. So it's just a matter of taste which one you want. If you like Halo, get an XBOX. If Final Fantasy is your thing, get a PS2. And if you like Mario, get the Gamecube. I'm not making you get the console, I'm just informing you so you can make your own best decision. Come back next time when I will talk about the next gen consoles.
