The World Of Gamer Girls

This is another requested blog.

Another thing I have noticed we have all neglected to some degree is female gamers. Most of the time we have been talking about male gamers due to their much larger population. But female gamers still exist, and I hope to shed some light on this issue. Now, I'm not a female gamer, so I want to say ahead of time that this blog is mostly speculation, and any untruths you find are just my lack of knowledge. I have nothing against any female gamers reading this.

It is a fact that the gamer community is primarily male. This being said, female gamers seem to be just the casual gamers. That is, a gamer that doesn't play online, wait outside for three days to get a new game, or anything extreme like that. They play their games while having a mostly intact social life. Now I myself am not an EVG, I am more of a extreme casual gamer, where I play for long periods of time, but I don't do the things listed above. Girl gamers are most likely in the range of casual to extreme casual gamer. Now for all the EVG girls out there, they are mostly unspoken of. I don't know why, but I guess that they aren't "cool" if they are an EVG. Now that might be true for the girl community, but I know that many a nerd would flock to such a woman if they knew of her.

I knew a few girls in my high school who played videogames. One of them liked to play games, but she said that she was not very good at them. She had played Kingdom Hearts a little and was a big fan of Pokemon Stadium for the N64. The other two were more extreme casual gamers, like myself, but one was wicked good at games. She beat Kingdom Hearts 2 at level 35. Those of you who are thinking, "What's he talking about?" Trust me, that's a really good gaming achievement.

Gamer girls are out there, but we don't know where to find them, that's all.
