Holiday Release time

As the winter holiday season approaches, publishers rush to release their latest flagship developments. This means that many great games will be coming out in the next month or so. With sequels to well known titles such as Fable, Gears of War, Resistance, Red Alert and Fallout being released within the next couple weeks gamers will have a busy schedule ahead of them… and an empty wallet in their future.

I always love the holidays… the break from school, the fun Christmas/New Year’s/other holiday parties, and of course… the video game releases. But, I never have enough money to buy all of the games I want. I assume just about every other gamer has the same problem. Now, I know that publishers release games now to take advantage of big holiday spending. But, WHY CAN YOU DO THIS TO US? I nearly go crazy trying to decide which game I want to spend my hard earned money on. It also doesn’t help that almost all of these games have high expectations from previews and trailers. I know as the release dates come and go I will be left out of at least a couple big titles and dreadfully disappointed. All gamers out there, if you manage to get a hold on every game you wish for this year I will give you a pat on the back.

I can totally agree with you on this one. I always hate when october and november roll around because I seem to never have enough money to buy the all the games I want. I usually just get the one game that can satisfy me the most until christmas gets here. It just sucks why can't they release games at sparadic times throughout the year. I mean sure stupid games come out in the months other than october and november but all the good games come out in this time and its just not fair to my savings account.
