The headset… what is it about being about to communicate with your allies and opponents that makes headsets so enticing to the elite gamer. You wear a small piece of plastic with earphones and a small microphone on your head and suddenly you become the most vulgar, toughest man to ever live. I personally feel stupid just wearing one. It makes you look so incredibly stupid. Then, you look more stupid when you start yelling at people even though you are the only one in the room. I don’t know about anyone else but I do not like to look like a crazy person. I feel like the weird person you see on the street that looks like they are talking to the fairies that follow them around all day but is actually on a Bluetooth headset on their cell phone. The initial reaction is always to move about five feet further away from them. After, staring for a couple seconds you realize that the person is on the phone and you feel comfortable again. But, for those couple seconds it is the weirdest thing. Seeing someone do that but talking to a television… insane.
Also, gamers also tend to trash talk like Chad "Ocho Cinco" on a headset. They become the most hardcore swearing people you will ever witness; even more than that angry, homeless man on the steps of the city’s public library. I have never heard more of an ego without any ability to back it up than from the seven year old kid who is swearing at you, telling you he did your mom last night while you play Call of Duty 4. Seriously, get a life all you headset users.

HAHA!!!! Dude, I'm one of those headset users that said "I did your mom last night". Seriously though, get a headset and start talkin crap. It's fun! When you are playing COD4 and you knife someone, don't you feel like letting them hear your enthusiasm? I can tell the crap-talkers strategy works if you are angry about it. It throws the opponent off their game! I mean, I'll agree to disagree, but if you don't have a headset borrow mine. Guaranteed your gaming experience will improve ten fold. There is nothing better in this world than destroying someone in an game and rubbing it in their face :)
